How do you feel about having your boyfriend or girlfriend work in the same company you are working? What are The Prose and cons for this?
Barack Obama's energy policy
In an earlier discussion, I have already stated McCain's position on energy. Now, I am going o highlight Obama's.Obama would give $500 worth of tax credit to solve the short term pinch of the high energy prices.Obama wants to ensure that US energy futures would not be able to be traded on unregulated offshore exchanges. Sound common sense right? But this loophole has been opened up by the Bush administration when they deregulated nearly every aspect of the economy.Obama wants to work with other countries to crack down on excessive oil speculation. This would mean a common market where there is more transparency but very rigid due to every country virtually playing on US terms.Barack Obama wants a windfall profit tax on oil comapnies. The money would then be used to give the tax relief mentioned earlier. Obama wants oil comapnied to double their output and wants all oil fields to also tap natural gas or lose its lease. In that way, America can be energy independent overnight. But the drawback is, that the oil fields in America are expected to last 30-40 years (as long as the Saudis). When we double the output, we halve the amount of time the oil wells to run...

Poetry or Prose?
I always thought prose was a lot easier to write. It's boundless, effortless and you can't get stuck thinking of rhymes or how many lines. You needn't rhyme june with rune or moon with tune, just splash the colors on the page without having anything to worry about. How about you? Do you like to follow an order? Or do you enjoy having boundless things to express yourself in?

Poetry: Rhyme vs Prose
I recently saw this discussion started recently by PinchMe but I thought I would give it another try. What type of poetry do you read? If you write poetry, what type do you like to write? I like to read and write rhyme, although both types offer real challenges. The flowery language of prose is very challenging in that it's hard to make sense of it sometimes unless you are a real master of the english language. It tends to be overly introspective and delves into the mysterious chambers of the author's mind. I admire anyone who can do it and, at the same time, communicate in such a way that all who read it can feel what the author feels. Rhyme, however, is also very challenging because sometimes it's necessary to rewrite the verses in order to make the rhyming words fit. And sometimes there is a limit to how many actual rhyming words there are. I tend to strive for rhythmic and meter perfection too, in that every line must be consistent in it's number of syllables. For instance, if I start the poem with 11 syllables on the first line and 12 on the next, that pattern will be consistent throughout the rest of the poem. I know that is extreme, but therein lies the challenge.
prose
During the summer vocation,I borrowed a book "walden".It is written by Henry David Thoreau. Abosolutely,it's a very good book. But now over a month passed, I only read several pages. I found it is difficult for me to continue. Compared with prose,I like novels better. Do you like prose, or do you have the same feeling with me?
