It's about two girls who parents die in a car accident and has to go live with their Aunt. The Aunt proceeds to torture the girls especially the older girl. Has anyone else seen this movie or is there anyone out there that knows The Facts of the case from 1958? I looked online and couldn't find more info on this case. I wanted to know what happen to the boys involved in the torture and whatever happen to the little sister? If you know a website that I can find the information that would be greatly appreciated. | | Political correctness gone crazy | | Yesterday I signed up for an Irish forum to complain about an issue in my town. The issue was that a swan had been caught in a fishing line and looked like he was going to die. I had tried to get help from a number of people but couldn't. One of the people that wouldn't help was a park warden. This park warden was Polish and his English language skills weren't very good. As a result of this he couldn't understand what I was saying when I told him about the swan. I told him a swan was caught in a fishing line and he couldn't grasp what I was saying. I kept trying to explain about this poor swan but he had no idea what I was talking about.Anyway, I mentioned the park warden on the forum and one of the replies I got was "why was the fact the warden was Polish relevant". This person totally ignored my comment about the swan being left to suffer and was intent on brandishing me as being prejudiced against Polish immigrants. I have nothing against any nationality and I would never want to offend anyone. However I'm not going to be so blinded by "political correctness" that I'm going to gloss over actual facts just in case I may offend someone. A beautiful swan could have died... | |
| | The US Supreme Court: is it working? | | I wonder what people think of the US Supreme Court and whether it is really working any more. It seems to me that over the last few years, the Court's decisions have become increasingly an extension of the political battles played out between Republicans and Democrats. I feel there is something worrying about a court when you can predict with near accuracy how 4 members will vote one way and 4 others will vote another, leaving the lone Judge Stephens in the middle breaking the tie.I recall former Chief Justice Rendquist saying that he had come to realise that it was not the arguments that mattered but that he 'had the votes'. I find this truly shocking, has the US Supreme Court now just become another political theatre where votes are cast to determine a political outcome?My understanding of a judge is that he should look at each case as it comes to him on its merits, look at the law of the land that applies - irrespective of whether he or she feels that that law is wrong - and then make his/her decision based on the facts of the case and his/her interpretation of the law. hard drive.In this particular case, a user was getting errors like "disk 0 error" and "invalid drive specification." Here were the other Facts in the case:• The data wasn't backed up.

I would consider him as luck because hundreds & thousands of both Indians & Pakistanis have wasted there life in jails in India & Pakistan just because of the 2 nations rivalry. | | Do people judge you before knowing all the facts. | | People are too judgemental these days.My experience lately has been that people assume they know all the facts of a situation, when they actually do not know enough about it to chime in with thier opinion.My brother spent seven years in prison for something that he did not do. All he really did was correct his child, and attempt to keep his wife, and family out of harm's way. Regardless of the facts of the case, he was charged with offenses he had no part of. He is currently home with us now, and phyically a free man, but psychologically, he spends every day hoping he does not go back in custody. He never says that too often, but all I have to do is watch his actions, and body language. He is very special to me and I try to be there for him always, but I can not erase his past. Believe me if I could it would be my first priority in my life. My life started again the day he came home!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, the rest of the world is still judging him.. That's fine, But I know his heart, and soul. It is not really fair that this is happening to him. Feel free to add your advice. I am proplexed for a solution to this issue. | | in sympathy | | I attended a Labor case hearing this morning and as part of the privilege communication, I cannot disclose the facts of the case.To summarize wahat happened, I waited for the complainant for almost 30 minutes and the case was submitted for decision.Consequently, I have read the reply of the complainant and I have to sympathize with him, but I cannot do anything because I represent the respondent.It seems that he was not totally represented and I have to sympathize with him because his case is strong and yet his claims are weak.Well, despite with that sympathy, I still hope for winning the case. | |
