My friend is turning to drugs what do I do?
Hello mylot friends,I am having a dilemma, my good friend of 17yrs is becoming an addict. Ever since I have known her she has smoked marijuana (but that doesn't worry me) I am now worried cause she now drinks every day and is becoming an alcoholic and takes her own cask of wine wherever she goes and is now taking her boyfriends methadone. (she has been with a recovering addict boyfriend for almost 9yrs now on and off. I almost died when she told me she had been stealing methadone from his "take home" bottles that the hospital gives to him. He doesn't know. He is a really nice person and I don't like to judge people and he is trying to get better but its my friend who is going off the rails. I am scared to tell her what I think and how scared I am for her as I have watched her go downhill because I don't want to lose her as a friend and I don't want her to shut me out and not tell me things but at the same time I don't want to be an enabler. Is there anything I can do? She doesn't like being told what to do. I am ready to kidnap her and take her away from her environment.

What us your Favourite Wine?
I love a good wine. My all time favourite would be White Shiraz poroduced by Banrock Station. Although the name says white, it's actually pink. Any than that, I love Chardonnay at the moment. I usually buy it in casks, as it's cheaper & goes further. Occasionally I drink wed rine, if my husband buys a bottle or cask. So tell me about your favourite wine.
Do u dream of becoming a MAYOR?
Few days from now, we will soon know who will sit in the Senate, in the Capitol Hall and in the City Hall. Few days from now, we will soon know who will rule our city. But have you ever wonder how it is to be the Mayor in the city? Have you ever dream of becoming one? The incident that I witnessed gave me the idea to write. As the jeepney driver waited for the traffic light to turn green, I sat silently near the rear of his jeep waiting for it to go. The traffic and the heat of the sun that gives uneasy sweat in my body bothered me a lot. I am about to be impatient when these two vehicle behind the jeep where i ride made a scene--a 4x4 black Hi-Lux pick up. And if you are not familiar with the owner of these luxury cars, you could just say that i'ts just one of the many cars that you see on the road. But because I am a resident of the city, I should know because the owner of these vehicles is just the father of the city--the Mayor himself. This is not the first time I have seen these vehicles. If our routes meet, I got the chance to see these big and polished luxury cars. HOwever, you could not see the people inside it for it is tinted. And as they say if you hapen to see...

Shoud you drink Brandy when you have frostbite? The Saint Bernard with the little cask around its neck is a great image, but drinking alcohol to warm yourself or to prevent frostbite doesn’t make any medical sense. Alcohol actually can be dangerous in these situations because it adversely affects circulation, enourages heat loss, and impairs shivering. The Saint Bernard could dig you out of a snowbank, however, and you could always share a drink back at the lodg
This World Ain't Good Enough For the Caring Man
"This world ain't good enough for the caring man," Cousin Jed said, his dishevelment a cause for concern. The last week or so, he's been out of sorts--bedraggled and doleful--his outlook on life once again shadowed by too heavy a look beyond the periphery. He threw down the old Time magazine, got up off the barrel and limped over to the tree to relieve himself. Mammie was tending the fire; Little Sis taken serious to the two squirrels chasing each other around the base of an Oak tree. The Mayor was down at the frozen lagoon, most likely in reminiscence--his talk often includes a few snippets of the boyhood--framed in memory for the evermore. "Yeah, Pappy and me would get up before the break of dawn and we'd go down to the crick and before the sun rose high enough to arouse the roosters we'd already have our daily catch." Cousin Jed had returned to our makeshift encampment, muttering still: "This world ain't good enough for a caring man." Mammie turned from the fire and gave Cousin Jed one of those looks--the one that says, "Come on now, it ain't that bad. You're among friends." Cousin Jed limped over to her, shook his head, and then threw the old magazine in the...
