| | myLot Discussions| My best friend who I've known a decade hasn't responded to my calls or messages. | | So, I was sick for a week, and then I got an ear infection(still recovering)related to my sinuses. So, before that, about 2 weeks had passed where I was trying to call my friend on cell. She normally will ring me right back or leave a message. Should I be worried? Part of me wonders if she doesn't want to talk anymore. But then, my own sister told me i was "Boring." Maybe I just need to find new friends? She always calls, even though she moved away a few yrs back. Don't you hate it when your sick...and nobody calls? | |
| | I've known this guy since the 6th grade! | | I met this guy when I was in the 6th grade. I didnt really have much feelings for him then. He was shorter than me at the time & I didnt know him very well, so yeah...nothing between us really went on till about a year or two ago. Last year I had afew classes with him, & since we had alot of the same friends, we usually hungout alot. He'd changed alot. He'd gotten taller than me, & I dont know...he just seemed so different. I guess he'd just grown up some. In the classes that I had him in, he would sit by my & always leave comments & everything, like telling me that I looked pretty today & everything. At first I didnt really notice that he was doing it. I mean, like I said, I didnt really see him as anything other than an aquantance. But towards the end of last year he was dating one of my friends. He broke up with her, & she was devistated. I kinda quit talking to him as much. I mean after that school semester was over, I left for summer vacation & this year...he's back with my friend. Last semester him& her seemed okay. They werent fighting as much or anything, & I thought their relationship was going good. But now this semster of school, me & him have afew classes again & now... | |

| | Teenage girl in serious need of advice here! | | Okay so I'm almost 17. I've known this guy since I was 11, in the 6th grade. We've always had alot of the same friends, but I never really paid much attention to him. But last year we had a few classes together. We'd talk every now & then & play around by shooting smart comments at each other(not in a mean way, more in a playful way). He even started sitting by me in my english class & giving me comments on how I looked & everything. Towards the end of the year though, we didnt seem to talk as much though. But this year, I had a home ec. class with him. I cant cook AT ALL, so I was worried as hell that I was going to be doomed in that class. But surprisingly he picked me to be on his team right away. I was surprised since he KNEW I couldnt cook or anything. And when I'd try to do something like clean up after the group was done cooking, he'd come help, or even do it all so that I wouldnt have to. I can't imagine how good or bad it would taste though we use it often in cooking and meal garnishing. But there's no harm if we try. I'm planning to try it one of these days 'coz kidney diseases are becoming more common. I've Known a lot of people who had undergone operation/surgery because of kidney stones. Here are the recommended steps: Grab a small bunch of parsley. Chop it finely or use a blender. Simmer it in water for a few minutes. Let it cool and drink it. There's no suggestion of adding any other flavoring but I'm wondering if I could add pandan and sugar. I hope it will taste fine and the results will be just as good.ldnt have to. That's how I feel right now! | | Sometimes life just gets to a stage where you're so fed up with feeling stressed that you hate life and just want to hide away for a while... like curl up in a ball in a corner and not come out till all the 'bad things' go away... yup, I'm regressing to childhood LOL.That's how I'm feeling right now. I've known for years that I suffer from depression, have suffered it ever since I was a child/teenager according to a therapist. Chemical imbalance in the brain is a hereditary thing in the female members of my family, my mothers mother, my mother, myself and my sister and my two daughters suffer aswell. Males experience it to but to a lesser extent (guess all those female hormones aggravate the issue).What I'd like to know is whether you have ever felt that way and what you do about it. Please, don't tell me to think positive and pull myself up by the boot straps etc. That's what people who have never experienced[b]true[/b]depression advise or those who refuse to take their own depression seriously.
