| | myLot Discussions| I hope you're doing okay | | I don't know how else to reach you other than posting something here on the chance you'll come online and read it... but I hope you're doing okay.
I think about you a lot, and I worry about you. I miss you, but more than that, I hope your days are okay.
I figure each one of these days that passes is one less day of this to endure and one day closer we are to a time where we'd be together again.
Check this out... I'm going to quote Emily Dickinson...
"Hope is the thing with feathers...
That perches in the soul...
And sings the tune without the words...
And never stops at all..."I have hope, and I remain hopeful.
| | Is hope a good thing? | | Yesterday I was watching a "Monk" episode where an actor imposes as Monk's dead wife and a conversation takes place
between him and his assistant Natalie:
Monk: Hope is the worst.
Natalie: No,Hope is a good thing!
Monk:you're very young. This question has been resurfacing to my mind lately and I wasn't giving it much thought but it hit me yesterday..I have been battling to finish my higher education for 8 years now and still standing at the first block.. I'm 26, people my age have already established some kind of a life while I'm running the treadmill, should I just give up already? but then again.. this is NOT the life I want for myself. Is hope a good thing? or does it trap you and blind you to other possibilities?

| | It's been a while now... | | ...since the last fight I got with my partner. Thank you for mylotters who has given me so much inputs when I was very confused of this problem. I was very lucky that I always have a place to share my problems and get the most objective response that I could get. If you have read my discussion before you must have known that my relationship was in a very awful condition. We fought everyday and we're caught in a deep depression of our relationship. The depression itself has brought more trouble because small things can get big when it comes to the different opinion. It was horrible.
But since many mylotters has given me some support, I thought of giving a chance. I pulled back a little and gave us some times to think and contemplate. We didn't talk about serious matter and get things fun. Yes we didn't share personal matters for these days and it was okay. It's been 3 days since our last fight and I felt peaceful. I can think better right now and put myself in the more productive activity. I know I haven't solve the main problem of this relationship matters, but I saw this as a good improvement. It means she wanted to make a resolution for this relationship so it could...
| | Is this man drunk on other peopels money control and power? | | It appears this wild insane man is actually drunk on riches obtained by stealing other peoples money, control and power and very possibly lead by the sprites of the selfishness and satisfiable greed.
We Americans have hope and some thing we can believe in, lovers of capitalism, freedom loving Americans,we would never want to be taken down this road that these poor citizens of this country are being forced down, would we?
CARACAS (AFP) - – The Venezuelan government of Hugo Chavez seized three banks and ordered two other financial institutions closed, as the country reeled from a currency devaluation he hopes will improving cratering state finances.
The bank closures come despite warnings that now regular business seizures could further spook foreign investors and undermine Chavez's efforts to put state revenues on a solid footing. The nationalization of eight small- and medium-sized institutions last year prompted fears of a run on the country's banks, as investors moved to withdraw funds. It also sparked a dip in Venezuelan bonds and the country's currency in free trading. The banking regulator defended Monday's move as a boost to the sector's stability, claiming...

| | Everyone else is doing it | | Well, with so many of my friends posting stories they have written, I decided to post one of mine.It is a Doctor Who story I wrote. It does include some parts taken and described from the show. But it is only to illistrate something at the end.So, here it is:IT'S ONLY A GAMEby Leah McGrew"Come on, Doctor," Jo pleaded. "You need some relaxation, too, and this is going to be a great match.""Jo," the Doctor frowned sternly at his diminutive, blonde assistant. "You know I'm not interested in sports.""Please, Doctor," she pouted. "I know it's only a game, but I need a ride." She turned her back on the Time Lord. After a moment she glanced over her shoulder. The Doctor was obviously torn between staying with his failed experiment and going. She gave a dramatic sniff, breaking his resolve."Come along," the Doctor said, catching his cape off the coat stand. Jo happily took his other hand and followed him out to his yellow roadster. At first the Doctor found the game dull. A group of men stood about a field. One man threw (Jo called it 'bowled') a ball at a set of poles, while another man tried to prevent the ball from hitting the poles and knocking a stick... | |
