| | | A Light in the Attic for every poet! | myLot Discussions| How Not to Have to Dry the Dishes | | Well, now, I did not come up with that title. I was looking through some books I have in boxes I have stored away for some time and I ended up leafing through "A Light in the Attic" and it is a collection of poems and drawings by Shel Silverstein....
if you have to dry the dishes
and you drop one on the floor---
Maybe they won't let you
dry the dishes anymore.Have you ever intentionally done something half-a$$ed or "drop the dishes on the floor" so that you don't get to do it anymore? I am sure I've dropped a couple dishes here and there.

| | Solve the mystery #10 | | Detective Hobbs was on his way to the big Detroit auto show when he decided to visit his old friend, Dr. Sam. At Sam's home he was shocked to learn that just two days earlier his long time friend had hanged himself."Sam was in excellent health and spirits when I heard from him last week," Hobbs told the sheriff. "I can't believe he committed suicide.""But he did---I investigated it myself," said the sheriff. "Here's how it all happened.""Pete Porter, Sam's manservant, was returning to the house late that night when he spotted a Light in the attic. As Porter got out of his car, he saw through the open attic window Sam knotting a rope around his neck. The other end was tied to a rafter. Then he saw Sam calmly kick away the small stool he was standing on, and that was the end."Porter found the house locked. He had forgotten his key; so he went to the neighbor to call me."
"He repeated to me exactly what I've just told you," said the sheriff."When I arrived at Sam's house, I had to force the front door open." Porter and I then ran up the three floors to the attic. Sam was dead. The coroner has no doubt that death was from...
| | Squirrel Problem | | Squirrels have chewed through the peak of my house and nested at the base of the eaves, what can I do? I don't mind killing them but I don't know an efficient way of doing it. I don't think a strobe light in the attic will work because they are in the eave, not the attic. He repeated to me exactly what I've just told you," said the sheriff."When I arrived at Sam's house, I had to force the front door open." Porter and I then ran up the three floors to the attic. Sam was dead. The coroner has no doubt that death was from hanging.""The attic floor was clear except for the little stool that lay overturned by the door," concluded the sheriff."Let's go out to the house," said Hobbs. "From everything you've told me about Porter's story, I can tell you he's lying!"How did Hobbs know that Porter was lying?

| | Chinese man has eaten 1,500 light bulbs | | [em]w00t[/em] A man in China claims that over the last 40 years he has consumed over 1500 light bulbs for snacks.
According to this man his habit started after he accidentally swallowed a fish bone as a child, since then he's regularly crunched on the glass of light bulbs and claims to eat one every now and again for breakfast with water. I wonder what he likes for dessert.http://www.asylum.com/2010/04/30/chinese-man-has-eaten-1-500-light-bulbs-over-42-years/
| | Do you prefer light or dark? | | This can be taken in multiple ways. It can be taken as skin color preference, whether it's your own or on others. What I originally meant by this question was whether some people like it when it's sunny or night outside. Do you like sleeping with the light on or off? If the light is on, is it just a nightlight?? | |
| | Buzz Light year Hamburgers | | In Disneyland Paris, They have a Toy story themed Restaurant and one of their most popular dishes was the Buzz light year burgers. Its basically basic cheeseburger but what makes it different was the buns. Its buns are actually a pair of mini pizzas. So its like a Hamburger with pizza toppings. Its quiet intriguing since its a Pizza hamburger sandwich, It looks delicious but I think its messy to eat since you dont know how you will handle the pizza since it has toppings on top and bottom. | |
| | with light on or off? | | Some people like doing it with light on while some love doing it with light off. You can not say which way is better, it is up to people's different taste and habit. Whats your habit then? Light on or off? | |
| | Do CFL light bulbs actually decrease your energy bill? | | Just out of curiousity. Because I don't pay energy, I couldn't tell you. We recently put CFL bulbs all throughout the house, and I'm wondering if anyone else has done the same - and if you've seen a difference in your monthly energy bill? If so, how much on average do you think you save due to these lights? | |
